About Abound
We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation. And we’ve shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market-leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch. Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top-tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs. Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.
About the role
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth fintech at a pivotal moment. As Growth & Partnerships Manager, you'll sit at the heart of our commercial engine - owning day-to-day relationships with our lending and distribution partners while building out the next generation of growth initiatives. Initially most of your time will be dedicated to partner relationship management: keeping our partners close, informed, and performing. The rest of your time will be spent identifying and driving new growth levers, from Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) to channels we haven't explored yet. Over time, that balance will evolve as the business scales. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to be told what to do. It’s for someone who spots a gap and fills it before anyone asks.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the day-to-day relationships with Abound's partner network, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring they’re set up to perform.
- Track, report on and interpret partner performance metrics obsessively - you should be able to recite our key numbers at any moment.
- Identify issues before they become problems and resolve them proactively, working cross-functionally with product, credit and operations.
- Lead on new growth initiatives including GEO, testing new acquisition channels and building the playbook for scalable growth.
- Support the development of our broader partnerships and growth strategy, contributing to how we think about the commercial roadmap.
Who you are
- 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, a high-growth startup or a similarly demanding, fast-paced environment - we care more about ceiling than CV.
- Genuinely hungry: you’re not here to do the minimum, you’re here to make your mark.
- Deeply numerate: you’re at home in spreadsheets, comfortable with ambiguity, and can turn data into a clear story.
- A natural relationship builder: people trust you quickly and you always follow through.
- Self-directed: you don’t wait to be managed, you manage yourself.
- Strategically minded: you can zoom out and connect the dots, even when you’re deep in the weeds.
What we offer
- Everyone owns a piece of the company - equity.
- Hybrid with 3 days a week in the office.
- 25 days’ holiday a year, plus 8 bank holidays.
- 2 paid volunteering days per year.
- One month paid sabbatical after 4 years.
- Employee loan.
- Free gym membership.
- Team wellness budget to be active together - set up a yoga class, a tennis lesson or go bouldering.
