Earn a $1,250 Signing Bonus!
- First Installment ($583): Paid after 90 days with an average of 20 hours per week.
- Second Installment ($333): Paid after 6 months (180 days) with an average of 20 hours per week.
- Final Installment ($334): Paid after 1 year (365 days) with an average of 20 hours per week.
Please note: This bonus is not applicable for Residential Services or Employees hired as Relative. For sign-on bonus, the following criteria must be met:
- New hire must have completed DDD Required Training Bundles (Prior 60) through College of Direct Supports (CDS).
- New hire works for an average of 20+ hours/week.
- New hire has not been employed by Abound Health (or any of our newly acquired companies) in the past 12 months.
- New hire provides periodic services for an average of 20+ hours/week (AFL services do not qualify for the sign-on bonus).
- Employees hired as Relative as Providers (RAPs) are not eligible for the sign-on Bonus.
The Rewarding Role of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) As a DSP, you will provide vital support services in the Chester area, assisting individuals with I/DD in seeking, obtaining, and maintaining meaningful employment. Your work directly contributes to their independence and integration into the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Build trusting, positive relationships and align individual needs with their goals.
- Act as a passionate advocate, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves.
- Identify opportunities for greater independence in work-related tasks.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to employer standards.
- Assist individuals in adhering to workplace policies to promote maximum independence.
- Utilize adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
- Collaborate with the Abound team and external parties (case managers, VR counselors, parents, etc.).
- Provide off-the-job support, such as practicing tasks, arranging transport, and offering counseling.
- Contribute to a team atmosphere by sharing ideas and embracing feedback.
- Maintain schedules, monitor health and safety, and complete accurate, timely documentation.
- Engage in initial and ongoing training and staff development.
