About the Family
We’re looking reliable and experienced Part-Time Nanny to join a lovely family in Burghfield Common for a three‑month maternity cover position.
The family have two young children, aged 4 and 2, and are looking for someone who can step in and provide continuity while their permanent nanny is on maternity leave. They would love to find someone nurturing, organised and confident who can quickly settle into the children’s established routines. The family also have a dog, although they have a regular dog walker.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on nanny role working three days per week, Monday to Wednesday. Two days will be 7:30am–6:00pm, with the remaining day working 8:30am–5:30pm. You’ll take responsibility for the children’s day‑to‑day care, making sure they are happy, safe and engaged while following the routines already established by the family. The role includes school drop‑offs and collections for the 4-year-old and caring for the 2‑year‑old during the day. You’ll plan arts and crafts, reading and baking to outdoor play, walks, local outings and playdates with other children and nannies in the area.
You’ll prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, with some batch cooking where useful, and take care of their laundry, bedding and keeping their bedrooms, wardrobes, toys and play areas organised. A typical term‑time day includes the morning school run, activities and lunch with the younger child followed by their lunchtime nap, afternoon activities, school collection at 3:30pm and returning home for supper, playtime and the start of the bath and bedtime routine.
The family are looking for someone who will create a happy, nurturing and relaxed environment for both children.
