Location: Just outside Hungerford, Berkshire

Working Days/Hours: 5 hours per day, totalling 25 hours per week – Monday through Friday
Salary: Between £20–£23 gross per hour (Depending on Experience)
Accommodation: Separate 3-bedroom cottage
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Live-in Housekeeper to join a private household just outside Hungerford. This is a lovely long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in keeping a home beautifully maintained, and is looking for a part-time role with excellent separate accommodation.
The position is based at a six-bedroom private residence and is approximately 25 hours per week. The successful candidate will also have their own separate three-bedroom cottage, offering plenty of privacy and independence.
Role Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the home, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, organised and well presented. You’ll also look after the estate office and manage household laundry and clothing care, including washing, ironing and organising. There will be some occasional simple cooking, along with walking and helping to care for the family dog. For someone who enjoys gardening, there is also the option to take on additional paid hours helping to tend to the garden.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous private household housekeeping experience
- A confident driver with their own vehicle, essential due to the rural location
- Confident with high-standard cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Dog-friendly and happy to help with walks
- Comfortable working independently and managing their own workload
- Organised, reliable and trustworthy
