Part-Time Live-In Housekeeper & Driver/Handyman Couple Near Chipping Norton
Location: Near Chipping Norton, North Oxfordshire

Working Days/Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week each, with flexibility around the family’s schedule
Salary: Between£50,000–£55,000 gross per annum joint salary (Depending on Experience)
Accommodation: Two-bedroom cottage with private garden provided
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dependable domestic couple to join a private family on their 200-acre farm in North Oxfordshire. This is a lovely part-time opportunity for a couple who enjoy varied roles and are happy to work independently while helping to keep the household and wider estate running smoothly. Each role is approximately 15 hours per week, with some flexibility required around the family’s schedule.
The estate includes two residential properties: a two-bedroom converted barn and a five-bedroom family home, (which is not occupied full-time). There is also a small farm office, pool house and additional estate spaces that require occasional attention.
Main Responsibilities:
Driver / Handyman
- Driving the Principal to appointments, including journeys into London.
- Running errands and completing local journeys as required.
- General handyman duties and external maintenance across the estate properties.
- Keeping an eye on maintenance requirements and arranging appropriate tradespeople or specialist contractors when needed.
Housekeeper
- Housekeeping to a high standard
- Quality deep cleaning of additional estate spaces as required, including the pool house.
- Laundry and ironing.
- Household organisation, including helping to keep the Principal’s medicines organised.
- Cooking and preparing simple, healthy meals as required.
Shared Responsibilities
- Dog care, including walking, feeding and attending veterinary appointments when required.
- Working together as needed to ensure the estate and household run smoothly.
- Offering some flexibility around the family’s schedule and changing requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
- An experienced, reliable and trustworthy domestic couple.
- Previous private household or estate experience would be beneficial.
- One person should be a confident driver and comfortable driving into London.
- Practical and confident carrying out general handyman and maintenance duties.
- Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable with laundry, ironing, household organisation and cooking.
- Dog-friendly and happy to assist with all aspects of pet care.
- Discreet, flexible and able to work independently.
- Looking for a stable, long-term position.
Accommodation
- A two-bedroom cottage with its own private garden is provided approximately a quarter of a mile from the estate, giving the couple their own space and privacy. The cottage will be available from February, with alternative accommodation provided in the local village in the meantime.
