Full-Time Gardener for a Picturesque Private Estate near Turville, Buckinghamshire

Location: Near Turville, Buckinghamshire

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Salary: Between £30,000 to £40,000 Gross Per Annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Gardener to join a beautiful private estate in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors as part of a collaborative and friendly estate team, taking pride in maintaining and developing a varied and well-kept landscape. The role will involve working closely with the wider estate team across all areas of the grounds. The estate includes productive gardens, mature woodland, lawns, ponds, orchards, and a developing wildflower meadow, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a varied workload and has a genuine interest in horticulture and estate maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing the estate’s produce garden, orchard, and cutting garden, ensuring healthy growth throughout the seasons.
  • The role also includes caring for lawns and landscaped areas using a range of gardening machinery and tools, alongside supporting the upkeep of woodland areas, fields, ponds, pathways, and hard landscaping.
  • Seasonal gardening duties such as pruning, planting, mulching, composting, fertilising, trimming, and leaf clearance will form part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
  • You will also liaise with external contractors where needed and work collaboratively with the wider estate team to prioritise tasks and ensure the smooth running of the grounds.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in gardening or horticulture, ideally within a private estate or similar environment
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Confident using landscaping machinery and gardening tools
  • Knowledgeable about landscape maintenance and general ecology
  • Interested in productive gardens, orchards, or wildflower meadows
  • A driver with a full UK driving licence
