ABN AMRO UK is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Communications and Marketing Intern / Executive to support the execution of the UK communications and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will play a key role in executing both internal and external communications initiatives, working closely with stakeholders across the UK and the Netherlands. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic corporate environment, contributing to high‑impact strategic projects.

Content Support:

  • Develop engaging content for internal and external channels, including announcements, intranet, narrowcasting, newsletters, social media posts, website, and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with Bank’s strategy and enhances ABN AMRO's brand presence in the UK.
  • Support content planning and editorial calendars across channels.

Communications and Strategic Execution:

  • Support the delivery of the internal communications strategy, with a focus on leadership visibility, culture, and employee engagement.
  • Contribute to the communications and engagement plan for the move to the new UK Headquarters (late 2026).
  • Contribute to external content marketing campaigns to raise brand awareness and promote ABN AMRO's products and services.

Event Coordination:

  • Support the planning and delivery of internal and external events, including UK Town Halls, client events, and industry events.
  • Coordinate logistics, communications and on the day execution.
  • Help maximise engagement and visibility across key events.

Social Media, Online, and Analytics:

  • Support management of ABN AMRO's social media presence on LinkedIn, including content updates and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain the UK intranet and website content.
  • Use data to evaluate the impact of social media, intranet, and website statistics to optimise content positioning and engagement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with UK business heads, senior leaders, and the Group Corporate Communications team to support initiatives and idea generation.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and content development.
  • Maintain proactive engagement with stakeholders ensuring communications planning and messaging remain aligned with strategic goals.

Your profile:

  • Previous internship experience in communications, marketing, or a related field (financial or professional services preferred).
  • Passionate about communications and marketing, coupled with an eagerness to contribute with dedication and energy.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive or high-profile communications with discretion.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across different levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
  • Creative thinker with a precise eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
