The objective of the function is to serve the bank's UK clients on Fixed Income (Rates and Credit) products to support our CB strategy in the region with the main aim to grow the footprint of ABN AMRO in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Act in accordance with the responsibilities of Certification Employees;
- Assist the FID team in executing the bank's FID strategy for UK activities;
- Support the maintenance of client relationships by helping deliver high-quality service on key products;
- Provide administrative and logistical support during feedback and order taking phases of new deal syndication process;
- Help with execution across the FID product set for new and existing clients in close collaboration with relevant teams including trading, risk and syndicate desks;
- Gather and organise client requirements to help identify opportunities for products and services;
- Work closely with Coverage and Front Office Support (FOS) teams to support due diligence and KYC processes;
- Adhere to all risk limits and procedures set in the Markets UK FID Sales mandate;
- Be aware of risk in daily activities and follow escalation processes to senior staff as needed;
- Adhere to compliance policies established in the bank;
- Stay informed about regulatory and industry developments through training and guidance from senior colleagues;
- Contribute to positive business culture by demonstrating integrity and professionalism;
- Collaborate with global teams to help maximize client service and business opportunities;
- Assist in organising presentations and commercial activities for (potential) clients.
We have an exciting opportunity for a 12 month Internship within Fixed Income & Derivatives (FID) Sales. FID Sales is positioned in the Markets department and reports to the Executive Director FID Sales. The Markets business is one of the core product units within ABN AMRO's Corporate Bank (CB). It is the bank's goal to grow its CB franchise in the UK in line with the group's European growth strategy. London is home to a large amount of the bank's Financial Institution (FI) and Corporate clients and a major global hub for the banking industry, and FID Sales in the UK plays a pivotal role in the bank's desire to have a sustainable capital markets offering to its clients. The mission of the FID Sales Team is to provide market intelligence, trade ideas and solutions that meet the requirements of the clients. These clients include pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, bank treasuries, hedge funds, money markets funds and other bond portfolio managers. The product set includes various fixed income cash products, short end funding tools and financial derivatives in the field of Interest Rates and Capital Markets.
