The Role
As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with stakeholders across the UK business and act as a key advisor on lending related matters. You will be involved in a diverse range of transactions and products and provide legal support on both day-to-day operations and wider strategic projects. This is a broad and high quality role offering exposure to complex transactions across the bank\’s UK lending portfolio, within a culture that genuinely values collaboration, development and work life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a range of transactions including but not limited to leveraged, project and corporate financings.
- Monitoring and interpreting changes in UK and EU-derived financial regulation.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, risk, and the wider business.
About You
- Lawyer with 4+ years\’ PQE, gained at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a well-established financial institution.
- Strong experience advising on a variety of lending transactions and related legal issues.
- Solid understanding of the UK legal and regulatory framework impacting lending activities.
- A commercial, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
