IT Engineer - Secure configuration

At a glance

As an IT Engineer specializing in secure configuration, you are performing secure configuration checks and subsequent risk assessments on system assets of ABN AMRO. Your expertise extends to DevOps practices, where you create, run, and configure automated checks to streamline security processes. Your knowledge and experience contribute to improving the overall security posture of the bank by helping development teams integrate security by design in their day-to-day work and by ensuring compliance with applicable ABN AMRO policies, procedures, and regulations.

Your job

You are responsible for helping teams with secure configuration assessments on ABN AMRO’s system assets. You will work as part of the security assurance team and perform regularly scheduled checks to support compliance and assist with the triage of new deviations. You will report on findings and perform risk assessments for the same. Besides this you are involved to DevOps practices, where you create, run, and configure the automated secure configuration checks.

As an IT Engineer – Secure configuration you stay well informed on the latest developments in the field of technology and threats and you actively share this knowledge with your colleagues. You help solving security-related questions, take initiative and escalate in time if needed. You signal improvements related to the way of working inside the team and you contribute to improving the maturity and coverage of our service offerings.

Working environment

You will be part of the internal Security Assurance team within the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) of ABN AMRO in the Netherlands. Inside the team we work together in an informal way and we provide a lot of variety and opportunities to keep developing yourself. Your profile

Required skills:

• You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the Information Security domain.
• You have experience working with Tenable products, such as Tenable.io, Tenable ONE, Tenable Security Center or Nessus.
• You have strong knowledge of security best practices, standards (e.g., NIST, CIS), and frameworks.
• You have a good understanding of system architectures and design principles.

It would be nice if you recognise yourself in the following requirements as well:

• You have knowledge of containers and related technologies (Example- Docker, Kubernetes).
• You have knowledge of DevSecOps and related technologies.
• You possess a number of relevant certifications like CISSP, cloud security certifications, etc.
• Yoou\’ve had exposure to banking or an equivalent highly controlled technology environment.
• You are fluent (verbal and in writing) in Dutch.
