We’re the UK branch of ABMI, a French engineering consulting group with over 35 years of experience delivering high-level expertise in critical industries like nuclear energy, aerospace, and transportation. In the UK, we’re applying our nuclear expertise to projects with EDF, a long-standing client we’ve supported for years in France.
You will join ABMI HPC technical team in Bristol, as Technical Coordinator to support the Hinkley Point C steelwork activities in Bristol. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating steelwork platform designs to ensure design is mature
- Liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design
- Smoothing the path for timely engineering delivery
- Managing Open Points to mitigation and resolution
- Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the SW design
- Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures
- Resolving identified technical issues

A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline is preferred. Previous experience in steel structures for UK projects is required, along with a good knowledge of the Eurocodes and a track record of promoting and working within a strong safety and quality culture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical, solution-focused approach are essential.
