SHIFT PATTERN: M to F, 40 hours per week

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of all PPM and reactive works on the Victoria account. The delivery of these works will be through both the in-house team and relevant ABM sub-contractors. It will be the Lead Engineer's key responsibility to ensure the delivery of all planned works, the capture and completion of remedial works raised from planned activity via the CAFM system and assuring the quality of that work upon completion. Raising all necessary permits for sub-contractor planned works, reviewing and approving RAMS and ensuring attendance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for booking in and managing all sub-contractor activity in line with the annual planner, assessing the quality of work being carried out, ensuring all remedials are reviewed/carried out, RAMS obtained and reviewed before work commences.
  • Regular monitoring of the CAFM system to ensure that all tasks (PPM/Reactive/Sub-contractor/ABM) are reviewed and updated within the system to show the correct status.
  • Ensure that the Sub-contractor annual planner boards are kept up to date.
  • Monitor requests for materials/parts submitted by engineers on a regular basis to assist the prompt completion of tasks.
  • Attend meetings as required by your line manager, ABM and Hammerson, including a daily meeting with Hammerson, a daily “huddle” with the ABM team and H&S meetings.
  • Raise and allocate work orders to engineers that filter through from client meetings/control room.
  • Assist and conduct documented audits on TS team work to ensure high standards are met – a minimum of 2 audits per week should be carried out and represent a cross section of different tasks from across the engineering team.
  • Completed audits to be periodically reviewed with Contract Manager.
  • Review shift rotas to ensure that at least the minimum engineering site attendance is achieved at all times and the need to cover shifts is identified and implemented in advance where foreseeable.
  • Assist and provide the monthly pack and undertake the delivery of Toolbox talks as per the annual planner while ensuring that they are signed for and logged appropriately in the folder.
  • Conduct a constant regime of reviewing logbooks and statutory compliance folders as per the annual logbook audit planner – All issues to be escalated to the Contract manager immediately.
  • The undertaking of personal appraisals for all direct staff, ensuring that they are reviewed and expectations met.
  • Reduction of potential accidents to as practicably low as possible through the correct use of SSOW and PPE.
