SHIFT PATTERN: Day shifts, 4 on 4 off
PAY RATE: £12.43
ABM UK, a leader in facility services, is seeking dedicated Waste/Cleaning Operatives to ensure that our clients’ environments are kept clean and safe. As a Waste/Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and waste management in various locations, which may include offices, shopping centers, and industrial sites.
Your primary duties will include waste collection, recycling management, general cleaning tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike.

Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of waste according to company policies.
- Carry out cleaning tasks in designated areas to ensure high cleanliness standards.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to your supervisor promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in recycling efforts by correctly sorting materials.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting respectfully with staff and visitors.
- Experience in cleaning or waste management is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
- Understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting and moving equipment or materials.
