About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Officer to join our Ground Handling Training Team. In this role, you will support Ryanair with the delivery of initial, recurrent, and compliance training across ramp and back‑of‑house operational departments. You will play a key role in ensuring our workforce is trained to the highest safety, regulatory, and operational standards, contributing to safe, efficient, and compliant airport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and practical training across ramp and BOH functions
- Conduct initial training, refresher courses, and competency assessments
- Identify training needs through operational feedback, audits, and performance data
- Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation
- Produce training reports and support audit and compliance activities
- Work closely with Safety & Compliance, Operations, and Management teams
- Support the development of a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Mentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve high performance standards
About You
You are a confident and engaging trainer with a passion for developing people and maintaining high safety standards in a fast‑paced aviation environment.
Essential Requirements
- AET (Award in Education and Training) or equivalent training qualification
- Previous experience delivering training within an aviation environment including Headset and pushback
- Strong understanding of airport ground handling, safety procedures, and compliance standards
- Experience delivering both theoretical and practical training sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and develop operational teams
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- IT literacy (MS Office and training record systems)
Desirable
- Train‑the‑Trainer
- ADPM
- Experience with Dangerous Goods training
- Knowledge of CAA/EASA regulations or IATA standards; hold a CIN
- Experience supporting audits or compliance programmes
- Design and develop lesson plans, training materials, and assessments in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA/EASA/ICAO where applicable)
