Work

Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00Role Purpose The Regional Engineering Supervisor provides hands-on technical support, coaching, and compliance oversight across a number of allocated contracts.

The role supports Mobile Engineers and Contract Managers to ensure the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) building services.

Acting as a senior technical resource, the Supervisor focuses on operational support, problem solving, critical works coordination, and improving engineering standards across the region.

Key Responsibilities 1.

  • Technical Support & Guidance
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to Mobile Engineers.
  • Offer on-site assistance for complex tasks, technical challenges, and troubleshooting.
  • Verify quality and accuracy of engineering work delivered across assigned contracts. 2.
  • Compliance & Engineering Governance
  • Conduct routine site audits to ensure statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
  • Review engineering documentation such as risk assessments, permits, method statements, and switching schedules.
  • Support Contract Managers in preparing compliance documentation and reports. 3.
  • Support with Critical Works Planning
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising critical engineering activities.
  • Ensure engineers understand risk controls and follow approved procedures.
  • Provide on-site presence during high-risk or complex engineering works. 4.
  • Training, Coaching & Competency Support
  • Deliver practical technical coaching to Mobile Engineers.
  • Identify skill gaps and support training needs analysis.
  • Help maintain competency records and support development plans. 5.
  • Performance & Problem Solving
  • Attend sites to investigate technical issues or performance concerns.
  • Support root cause analysis and assist in corrective action implementation.
  • Provide recommendations for improving asset performance and maintenance routines. 6.
  • Operational & Client Support
  • Attend operational or technical meetings as required.
  • Assist in preparing technical information for client discussions.
  • Ensure engineering delivery meets contractual and operational expectations Requirements Essential
  • Strong technical background in M&E Building Services.
  • HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in a supervisory or lead engineering position.
  • Good understanding of statutory compliance and engineering best practice.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and support engineers.
  • Confident in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.

Desirable

  • Authorised Person (AP) status in HV, LV, or relevant disciplines.
  • Experience using CAFM systems for maintenance planning.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
