CONTRACT: Full-Time Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours per week 4 on 4 off (nights shifts available only)
PAY RATE: £14.80 per hour to increase to £15.45 from 1st Nov 2026
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Working as a member of the PRM Minibus Driver, you will drive the Company’s specialist vehicles on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRM’s) from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft. Full training and instruction will be given. You will also be required to assist PRM’s onto the aircraft, to their seat or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings which involves passenger and manual handling techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – REQUIREMENTS
- Complete the daily Vehicle Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the vehicle, reporting, when necessary, any vehicle defaults in line with the Vehicle Inspection procedure.
- Drive the Company vehicles ensuring that the vehicle is always safe and secure.
- Operate the vehicle safely within proximity to the aircraft using all safety systems of the vehicle.
- Always maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
- Deliver or collect the passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques.
- Complete Customer Service Agent duties within the terminal when demand requires, this may include escorting passengers through the terminal/security and boarding flights or meeting arriving flights and assisting PRM’s through to baggage reclaim.
- Ensure that the Allocator is always updated on progress of jobs using PDA’s.
- Observe all Stansted Airport airside driving requirements.
- Always promote a safe and secure environment.
