LOCATION: Gyle Shopping Centre

SHIFT PATTERN: 40 Hours per week, 5 days over 7

PAY RATE: £13.55 per hour

Gyle Shopping Centre is one of Edinburgh’s prestigious retail outlets which benefits from easy commuting. It offers free parking and discounted benefits from certain retailers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain high standards at Gyle Shopping Centre and proactively deal with issues as they arise, including in the car park, service areas, and walkways.
  • Assist customers and retailers when required.
  • Assist in emergency situations.
  • Retrieve trolleys from the car park and transfer them to trolley bays.
  • Ensure that the trolley bays are kept clean and free from rubbish.
  • Attend to any external duties and other reasonable associated tasks within the car park area and any other areas as directed by the ABM nominated supervisors and managers.
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing daily priorities.
  • Be knowledgeable of all trolley collection-related tasks to support current scheduled activity without the need for specific direction.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Sound communication skills.
  • Clean driving license - non-essential.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the absence of supervision, accepting responsibility.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and other compliance policies.
  • Execute duties in a manner that minimises incidents and accidents within your department.
  • The staff member must be available throughout the duration of the designated shift.
