LOCATION: COUNTY MALL, Crawley, RH10 1FP
SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days per week varied pattern, 40 hours per week
PAY RATE: £12.82 PER HOUR
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver cleaning services to client’s facilities in and around the building, indoors and outdoors to a high standard.
- Clean floors across the shopping centre areas, including toilets, management and back of the house.
- Lift and escalators cleaning.
- Jet-washing, dust mopping/dusting, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, litter picking, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass doors/glass panels/windows; clean all stainless-steel fixtures and door panels; wet/dry mop inside and external.
- Perform general cleaning duties on an external and internal environment, service yards, and car parks.
- Act as a helpful point of contact for customers who need assistance.
- Be watchful for health and safety issues and report them to the management team.
- Ensure that cleaning/maintenance checks and site‑specific compliances are adhered to.
- Keep the site safe, clean & welcoming for clients, tenants and visitors.
- Serve as an excellent ABM brand ambassador.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Cleaner service experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Approachable and courteous manner.
- Excellent attention to detail within cleaning responsibilities.
- Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business.
Desirable but not essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of how to use cleaning chemicals – COSHH.
- Driving licence B category.
- Ability to operate compactor, baller, floor cleaning machine.
