ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team. This role is key to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The successful candidate will be required to work weekday evenings, with flexibility to support additional hours during events on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of office and communal areas (desks, floors, kitchens, washrooms)
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- Waste collection and disposal in line with site procedures
- Replenishing consumables (soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly
- Following COSHH regulations and site health & safety procedures
- Reporting maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Supporting additional cleaning duties during event evenings
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a cleaning role (commercial or similar environment preferred)
- Good knowledge of cleaning products and methods
- Understanding of COSHH regulations
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices in the workplace
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, particularly during events
Additional Requirements
Due to limited public transport availability during evening hours, particularly after event shifts, applicants must have a reliable means of travelling to and from the site.

- Experience cleaning in high-traffic or event environments
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Experience using professional cleaning equipment
