LOCATION: Belfast

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, 6 Month Fixed term contract

SALARY: Competitive

To ensure the safe, compliant and efficient operation of commercial gas-fired plant, gas distribution systems and associated mechanical assets across the contract portfolio through planned, reactive and statutory maintenance in accordance with SFG20 and Gas Safe requirements.

Service Provision

  • Complete all commercial gas PPMs in accordance with SFG20.
  • Maintain gas-fired boilers, heaters, pipework, governors and associated controls.
  • Carry out gas tightness testing, leak detection and combustion analysis.
  • Undertake statutory inspections and testing of gas equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and complete reactive gas repairs.
  • Raise remedial works and immediately escalate safety-critical defects.
  • Record all maintenance within CAFM.
  • Comply with Gas Safe, permit-to-work and health & safety requirements.
  • Be responsive and prompt to customer enquiries, requests and complaints.
  • Recognise when the customer is under pressure and respond to their needs appropriately.
  • Encourage others to demonstrate a high-quality customer service.
  • Delegate and coordinate work in a clear and efficient manner.
  • Get the best out of people through enthusiasm and recognition.
  • Address below standard work promptly, informing management as required.
  • Adjust and adapt communication styles to be effective in a diverse workplace.
  • Promote a spirit of teamwork, consistently displaying a positive approach to working with others.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised apprenticeship in Heating/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current Commercial Gas Safe Registration.
  • Minimum three years' experience maintaining commercial gas systems.
  • Experience within facilities management.
  • Experience delivering SFG20 maintenance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Competent IT skills including CAFM/mobile applications.
