SALARY: £65000 + 5% Uplift on Salary Upon Successful Completion of Probation | Benefits Package

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join a successful team in the Rail & Transport sector based in London. Our client is a progressive and dynamic company within the FM sector and a leading provider of Strategically Outsourced Services operating across the UK and Ireland. They are recognised experts in first generation outsourcing and provision of outsourced services to quality critical environments and sectors with unique challenges such as Rail, Transport, Corporate Offices, Iconic Buildings, Life Sciences, Retail, Healthcare and Education.

Lead operations across sites, fostering strong client relationships and a proactive, solutions-focused culture while driving additional revenue. Oversee resources to improve efficiency, profitability and end-to-end service delivery, including financial reporting, invoicing and IT systems. Build trusted partnerships by aligning operations with strategic objectives and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills
  • Effective people management skills and performance measurables against KPI’s
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to meet sales targets
  • Effective planning, change and time management
  • Timely, high-quality response to all opportunities
  • Collaborative working with Business Development to support cross‑selling
  • Structured leadership and performance management of your team and all cleaning staff
  • Ongoing Health & Safety oversight and compliance across contracts
  • Full P&L ownership with clear analytical and financial performance reporting
  • Provide technical support and deliver efficient, innovative solutions to meet client needs

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills, with Lean / Six Sigma training desirable
  • Flexible and be available for both day and night shifts as required
  • Experience of both Rail and Depot operating requirements
  • Minimum BICS Licence to Practice qualification
  • Proven successful working relationships with high end service providers
  • Self‑motivated, decision‑making skills
  • Strong leadership qualities across all levels of the business
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Strong communicator and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the market and current trends
  • Awareness of ISO9001, 50001 quality management standards
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of sustainability matters (Desirable)
