Role Overview And Purpose
ABM UK is seeking a proactive and dedicated Security Team Leader to oversee our security team operations at various client sites. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of security officers, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to security protocols, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your leadership will be vital in nurturing a culture of teamwork, vigilance, and professionalism that upholds ABM\βs high standards of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the security team to achieve the highest level of service and compliance with security procedures
- Conduct regular briefings and training sessions for security staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills
- Monitor the performance of your team and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Manage incident reporting and documentation, ensuring prompt communication with relevant parties
- Conduct site inspections to assess adherence to security protocols and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with management and clients to develop security strategies that meet the unique needs of each site
- Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents, ensuring incidents are handled effectively and timely
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of site-specific protocols, legislation, and emergency procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in a security role, with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a calm and effective manner
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficient in using security technology and related software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Valid SIA Front Line License (Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection)
- Ability to perform risk assessments and develop effective security protocols
