As a Security Officer at ABM UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of security, preventing unauthorised access, and responding to any security incidents that may arise. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for both employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorised entry
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems
- Maintain a visible presence to deter and address any security concerns
- Respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies, when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, answering inquiries and addressing concerns
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
- Valid SIA license and/or relevant certifications (CCTV, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations
- Attention to detail and a high level of observation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
