Pay rate: £12.78 per hour. ABM UK is expanding its security team and is seeking motivated and reliable Security Officers to join us. With over 30 years of experience in facility services, ABM UK is committed to offering the highest standards of security and safety for clients, including commercial properties and retail centres.

Location: Livingston Designer Outlet

Shift pattern: 4 over 7

Hours: 44 hours per week

We are expanding our security team and looking for Security Officers who will secure and monitor assigned locations, ensuring the safety of property and personnel. You will implement security protocols and deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a point of contact for staff and visitors.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team in various settings, making it ideal for individuals seeking to grow within the security industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine patrols of the premises and report any incidents or irregularities
  • Control access points by monitoring entries and exits
  • Utilize security equipment, including CCTV and alarms
  • Respond promptly to security breaches and emergency situations
  • Document daily activities and incident reports
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for employees and visitors
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to guests

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer or a similar position is preferred
  • Possession of a valid SIA license is essential
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and surveillance techniques
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible schedule, including the availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
