We are looking for an In‑House Recruiter to join our Recruitment team and support the delivery of high‑volume and specialist recruitment across multiple business areas. Reporting to the Director of Talent & Engagement, you will partner with Hiring Managers across our Facilities Management and Tech/Engineering divisions to attract, engage and hire talent across a wide range of roles. These will include technical engineering positions such as Mobile Gas Engineers, Air Conditioning Engineers, Refrigeration & Chiller Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Fabric Engineers, alongside frontline operational roles within Cleaning, Security and Facilities Services.
You will manage multiple vacancies simultaneously, ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle. This role would suit a recruiter who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, building talent pipelines and using a variety of sourcing methods to attract candidates in competitive markets. The successful candidate will be organised, resilient and proactive, with the ability to manage both high‑volume campaigns and specialist vacancies while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a broad range of technical, engineering and frontline operational vacancies.
- Partner with Hiring Managers to understand hiring requirements, workforce plans and recruitment priorities.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, talent pools and direct sourcing activities.
- Screen and assess applications against role requirements and provide recommendations to Hiring Managers.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments and offer processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for frequently recruited roles, including engineering, cleaning and security positions.
- Support high‑volume recruitment campaigns and mobilisation projects where required.
- Track recruitment activity and provide regular updates to Hiring Managers and key stakeholders.
- Promote ABM's employer brand and employee value proposition to attract high‑quality candidates.
- Ensure recruitment activity is compliant with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
- Work towards agreed recruitment KPIs, including time‑to‑fill, direct sourcing and candidate quality measures.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and reduce agency reliance.
- Previous recruitment experience gained either in‑house or within a recruitment agency environment.
- Experience managing multiple vacancies simultaneously within a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience recruiting for operational, engineering, facilities management, construction, industrial, logistics, security, cleaning or similar sectors.
- Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media and direct sourcing techniques.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to build talent pipelines and maintain candidate engagement.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using ATS systems (Workable would be ideal!), recruitment platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritise workload and meet recruitment targets.
- Experience recruiting within Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Security or Cleaning sectors.
- Experience supporting high‑volume recruitment campaigns.
- Knowledge of engineering or technical recruitment markets.
