LOCATION: The Potteries Centre, Stoke on Trent

HOURS: Full-time, 4 on and 4 off, variable shifts including weekend working. The average of 46 hours per week.

PAY RATE: £14.20 PER HOUR

We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our dedicated security team. As a Security Officer with ABM UK, you will be tasked with ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises, assets, and personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular monitoring and patrols of designated areas to deter criminal activity
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding to alerts and incidents
  • Controlling access to buildings and grounds by verifying credentials and authorizations
  • Documenting all incidents, accidents, and security breaches in reports
  • Providing first aid and emergency response when required
  • Assisting customers and employees with inquiries and acting as a point of contact
  • Collaborating effectively with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary

Experience in security or a related field preferred:

  • Possession of a valid SIA license
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to perform security duties and respond to emergencies
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
