LOCATION: Pier Walk, London

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Friday 40 hours per week

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

To efficiently manage and support a team of engineers of all disciplines on a day to day basis, ensuring consistent operational delivery through smart working and the efficient execution of their day to day tasks. Key mobile support to Contract Manager. To liaise with the Contract Support and Contract Management Teams to provide excellent service delivery to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To advise and provide assistance to our engineers on any technical matters.
  • Support the contracts on both reactive and planned maintenance work.
  • To improve service delivery performance and reduce costs where possible.
  • To engage with the customer and interact as an ambassador of ABMs in a professional manner.
  • To ensure SLA and KPI’s are achieved by our engineers in line with our contracts.
  • To ensure all statutory PPMs and activities are carried out on time.
  • Working alongside the Helpdesk Team, assisting with Labour resource and technical issues or queries, attending the office at least 1 day per week.
  • To undertake HR process such as informal and formal discussions, investigation meetings and any other HR related issues as required.
  • To carry out operational inductions for new starters.
  • To carry out engineer audits which would include PPE, vehicles, tools, ladders and Tool Box Talks.
  • To manage all aspects of H&S in relation to all works from planning to completion, including RA & MS COSHH, etc.
  • Put together quotations and issue to the customer.
  • Supervise quoted and reactive works.
  • Supervise Sub-Contractors, and direct engineering staff.
  • To support the Contract Management Teams in engineering service delivery.
  • Site log books to be maintained; site safety compliance and documents updated.
  • On call rota cover as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with training and supervising engineers.
  • Good IT skills – Intermediate level, excel, word, power point.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Good understanding of M&E Building Services.
  • City & Guilds Technical qualifications – Combustion / Electrical / HVAC / Mechanical.
