LOCATION: Glasgow

CONTRACT: Permanent, 30 hours per week

PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is looking for hardworking and proactive cleaners to join our team in Glasgow, Edinburgh. You will be provided with a company van including a fuel card to cover a range of premises where staff are on holiday or sick. Duties will involve cleaning of office areas and includes hoovering, mopping, desk wiping, kitchen, and toilet cleaning, external work of litter picking and waste removal, common areas, corridors and basements. You will be asked to work along teams on sites and on occasions liaise with customers. You must have good attention to detail and high standards of cleaning. You will be responsible for disinfecting areas as per planner. You must have a level of flexibility, good timekeeping and work ethic. Shifts will include early mornings and evening cleaning and occasional weekends up to or above 35 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dusting, wiping, and disinfecting desks and all surfaces
  • Scrubbing kitchens and toilets
  • Hoovering and mopping floors
  • Disinfecting all high touch points
  • Detail work i.e. skirtings, sills, fixtures etc.
  • Following group and company policies and procedures
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in office cleaning and good grasp of Health and safety issues
  • Must be hardworking and with good attendance, work to routine schedules and to be able to proactively find tasks
