Role Overview And Purpose
Working as a member of the PRM Airside Driver Team, you will drive the Company’s specialist vehicles on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRM’s) between aircraft and terminal building. Vehicles range from minibuses to Class 2 rigid heavy goods type vehicles, for which full training and instruction will be provided. You will also assist PRM’s onto aircraft, to their seats or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings, employing passenger and manual‑handling techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the daily vehicle check sheet and report any vehicle defaults in line with the vehicle inspection procedure.
- Operate company vehicles safely and securely, ensuring compliance with all safety systems and airside driving requirements.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle at all times.
- Deliver or collect passengers at the aircraft door and assist with safe transfer into seats or wheelchairs using manual handling techniques.
- Perform Customer Care Agent duties in the terminal when required, such as escorting passengers through the terminal/security and boarding flights or meeting arriving flights and assisting PRM’s through to baggage reclaim.
- Keep the allocator updated on job progress using PDAs and radio.
- Promote a safe and secure environment at all times.

- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Experience in a similar role or driving larger vehicles is an advantage.
