LOCATION: The Sidings, Waterloo
SHIFT PATTERN: 8 hours per week, Monday - Sunday. Shifts will be made up of various shifts as per below breakdown:
- Days: 0600 – 1400
- Afternoons: 1400 – 2200
- Nights: 2200 – 0630
PAY RATE: £14.80 per hour
Job Objective & Responsibilities:
We are looking to appoint a proactive Cleaning Operative to join our team and assist in maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment for all our customers and staff. Your role will be to deliver cleaning services to client’s facilities in and around the building, indoors and outdoors to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning floors across the shopping centre areas, including toilets, management suite and back of the house areas.
- Mopping/dusting, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, litter picking, picking up larger objects off the floor, and cleaning glass doors/glass panels/windows, cleaning all stainless-steel fixtures and door panels.
- General cleaning of external and internal areas, including service yards, and turning circle as required.
- Being a point of contact for customers who need assistance and help.
- Being watchful for health and safety issues and reporting them to the control room immediately.
- Keeping the site safe, clean & welcoming for our client, tenants, and visitors.
- Being a brand ambassador for both The Sidings Waterloo and ABM.
Requirements:
- Cleaner service experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Approachable and courteous manner.
- Excellent attention to detail within cleaning responsibilities.
- The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business.
