LOCATION: Olympia, West Kensington, W14 8UX

Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7 (40 hours per week), 8-hour shifts. Flexibility required: You must be available to work a weekly rotating rota, including weekends, covering the following shifts:

  • 06:00–15:00
  • 14:00–23:00
  • 22:00–06:00

PAY RATE: £13.85 per hour

ABM UK is seeking reliable and proactive Cleaning Operatives to join the soft services team at a brand-new, high-profile multi-use complex in West Kensington, London. This landmark development will include corporate offices, event venues, leisure facilities, and restaurants, and is currently in the pre-opening phase.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play an important role in maintaining high cleaning standards across all areas of the site. This is a full-time role requiring flexibility, including weekend work and shift-based availability, to meet the demands of a dynamic, high-footfall environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating cleaning machinery - electric vehicle, scrubber-dryers, waste compactors
  • Carry out cleaning tasks to the highest standards across designated areas.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubber-dryers and vacuum cleaners safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health & safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Report any defects, issues, or hazards promptly to the Team Leader.
  • Assist with waste management and recycling processes.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and use resources efficiently.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license
  • Good understanding of verbal and written English.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.
  • Aware of health & safety and COSHH regulations.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role.
  • Experience operating cleaning machinery e.g., scrubber-dryers, waste compactors (advantage but not essential)
