Role overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining interactive and informative dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, report generation, and a deep understanding of business intelligence concepts. This role requires collaboration with various departments to gather requirements and ensure the effective use of Power BI and other ABM & third-party platforms to meet & align operational demands & other innovations.

Main Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI and other dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Data Modelling: Create and maintain efficient data models, including data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate and align with business users, clients and third party service partners to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and dashboard solutions.
• Performance Optimisation: Optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring quick load times and responsive interactions.
• User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on all platforms, functionalities and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
• Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features, tools, industry innovations and best practices to continuously improve reporting, analytics capabilities and client experience.

Desired Experience:

• Education: Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with a strong focus on Power BI, dashboards within a client environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms. Familiarity with other Microsoft BI tools, such as SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS, is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including senior client levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
• Experience: Experience in Facilities Management Industry is a plus.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with other data visualization tools and programming languages such as Python or R.
