Airside PCV Driver in Horley

Location: Gatwick Airport

Shift Pattern: part time/0 hours. Hours vary with the needs of the business and include working a rotating shift pattern that covers a 24 hour period, 7 days a week, 365 days a year operation. Working weekends, bank holidays and holiday periods will be a requirement as required.

Pay rate: £16.69 per hour.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver the safe, efficient and effective bus transportation of airport and airline passengers (ground staff, crew members and other client groups) between designated transfer points.
• Perform other driving duties as required, including but not limited to bowser vehicles, high lifts, and de-icing vehicles.
• Operate mainly airside, with a willingness to work in any areas the business deems necessary, including cabin cleaning duties as required.
• Use an automated job allocation and recording system.

Person Specification: Essential

• Must hold a valid PCV licence (D, D1) with no more than three points endorsed.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of both written and spoken English.
• Must be able to pass and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving permit, including competency checks where necessary.
• Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to deal with people effectively and with ease.
• A positive pro-active can do attitude.
• Flexibility to work in alternate locations, this may be short notice.
• Flexibility to work in different departments within ABM, such as cabin cleaning.
• Flexibility to work additional shifts for adhoc demand and duty cover as required; local catchment area would be advantageous.
