LOCATION: Inshes Retail Park
WORKING HOURS: 24 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: Sunday - Wednesday (4 out of 7 days)
PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Your role will be to deliver cleaning services to client facilities in and around the retail park to a high standard. Duties include litter picking, maintaining pathways, sweeping, waste management, spot cleaning glass doors/windows, cleaning stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, pressure washing, hedge cutting, weeding, grass cutting, and general maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General cleaning and some landscape duties in an external environment, road, and car parks
- Being a helpful point of contact for customers who need assistance
- Being watchful for health and safety issues and reporting them to the management team
- Ensuring that cleaning/maintenance checks & site-specific compliances are adhered to
- Keeping the site safe, clean & welcoming towards our clients & customers
- Being an excellent ABM brand ambassador
- Planting new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes
- Maintaining gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding
- Watering plants and lawns and adding fertilizer as needed
- Removing snow, ice, and leaves as needed
- Building and renovating stone pathways, patios, and ledges
- Loading and unloading equipment and tools into work vehicles
- Driving work vehicles around sites
- Adhering to all RAMS and H&S guidelines
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Cleaner/Maintenance service experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable)
- Good inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Approachable and courteous manner
- Excellent attention to detail within cleaning/maintenance responsibilities
- The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business
