LOCATION: Forge Landscaping

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, Seasonal / 12 weeks

PAY RATE: £12.85 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Gardener to support the upkeep and presentation of our shopping centre grounds. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards across all landscaped and outdoor areas, ensuring the environment remains clean, attractive, and welcoming for visitors, tenants, and staff. This role is ideal for someone with practical grounds maintenance experience who takes pride in outdoor work and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular weeding of flower beds, pathways, borders, and landscaped areas
  • Cut and maintain grassed areas using appropriate grounds maintenance equipment
  • Trim and shape hedges, shrubs, and bushes to maintain a neat appearance
  • Remove green waste and keep external areas tidy and free from debris
  • Inspect grounds for hazards or maintenance issues and report where necessary
  • Operate gardening machinery and tools safely and responsibly
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred
  • Experience using hedge trimmers, strimmers, lawn mowers, and related equipment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high presentation standards
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices

Desirable Skills

  • PA1/PA6 certification or similar horticultural qualifications
  • Experience working on commercial or public grounds
  • Full UK driving licence
