Job Title: Forklift Lift Truck Driver – Nights

Location: LCY3 – DARTFORD

Hours: 38.5 Hours 19:00pm-07:00am

Rate of Pay: £15.16 per hour

ABM Facility Services UK is looking to recruit Forklift Truck Drivers on a full-time and part-time permanent basis for a high-profile client within the Dartford area. The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment that provides janitorial and waste removal services. Our teams consist of ambitious and motivated individuals who contribute to a fun and friendly working environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Working within our janitorial and waste removal team in a warehouse environment, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently.
2. Handling waste generated on site via approved waste streams and supporting waste removal to ensure continuous production.
3. Using walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, ensuring the yard area is clean, safe, and maintained to a high standard.
4. Maintaining all equipment to ensure cleanliness, good condition, and safety.
5. Responding to requests and callouts from the on-site client team.
6. Communicating effectively with team members and line managers.
7. Wearing PPE and complying with health & safety policies.
8. Working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
9. Undergoing full training on cleaning methods and equipment; training will be provided.

Person Specification:

• Basic disclosure check with satisfactory response; willingness to learn health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adaptability to a busy operational environment.
• Reliable and flexible approach.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Essential:

• Valid private counterbalance forklift license (in-house training not accepted).
