Main Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI and other dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Data Modelling: Create and maintain efficient data models, including data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate and align with business users, clients, and third-party service partners to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and dashboard solutions.
- Performance Optimisation: Optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring quick load times and responsive interactions.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on all platforms, functionalities and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
- Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features, tools, industry innovations and best practices to continuously improve reporting, analytics capabilities and client experience.
Desired Experience
- Education: Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics with a strong focus on Power BI, dashboards within a client environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft BI tools, such as SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS, is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including senior client levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
- Experience in Facilities Management Industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with other data visualization tools and programming languages such as Python or R.
