SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off (06:00 - 18:00 2 days followed by 09:00 - 21:00 2 days followed by 4 off), 42 hours per week

Role Purpose

The Security Shift Leaderis responsible forthe day-to-day operational delivery of all Soft Services on shift, including security, housekeepingand Guest Services.

Acting as the on shift operational lead, the Security Shift Leader ensures safe, efficientand high-quality service delivery across the site.

The role reports to the Shared Services Manager, whoretainsoverall responsibility for the Soft Services function, including strategic direction, performancemanagementand resourcing.

Main Duties

• Deliver all Soft Services operations on shift in line with the standards and direction set by the Shared Services Manager.
• Take full responsibility for the management and performance of security, housekeeping and Guest Services teams on shift ensuring thathigh standardsare always achieved.
• Act as the primary decision maker on shift for Soft Services matters, ensuring a prompt, professional and well-coordinated response to incidents.
• Manage and resolve day to day operational issues, ensuringtimelyescalation to the Shared Services Manager whererequired.
• Act as a visible operational lead on the mall, providing clear direction, supportand leadership to all Soft Services teams.
• Coach and mentor team members, supporting development, improvingperformanceand encouraging progression.
• Monitor attendance and timekeeping, addressing issues in line with procedures and escalating whereappropriate.
• Support recruitment activity, including interviews and onboarding of new team members.
• Promote a positive, inclusiveand professional working environment in line with company values and policies.
• Oversee the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan, ensuring all team members are trained, confident and prepared.
• Maintainaccuraterecords including incident reports, dailylogsand clear shift handovers.
• Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, siteproceduresand company policies.
• Act as an ambassador for the site, always supporting a high-quality Guest experience.
• What We Are Looking For
• Proven experience as a security officer or security leadership role with housekeeping and security experience.
• Valid SIA licence.
• Strong communicationskills, both written and verbal.
• Confident using systems and software relevant to site operations.
• Reliable, self-motivatedand able to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to lead, motivate and positively influence teams.
• Professional, approachableand able to deal with people at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• Committed to continuous improvement and personal development.
• A consistent and reliable record of attendance and timekeeping.
