Location: BABCOCK TECH CENTRE - BRISTOL

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 16.00 - 22.00, 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Purpose of the role

As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading, monitoring, and supervising a group of employees to achieve goals that contribute to the daily aspects of the business. Supervisors motivate and inspire their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding between team members, and demonstrates flexibility.

Duties will include:

  • Instruction, direction and undertaking of day-to-day cleaning tasks to help achieve a specific goal and standards within the building and surrounding areas.
  • Completing any other associated tasks requested by management.

Main Duties Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Undertaking day-to-day cleaning tasks set out by management.
  • Communicating goals and deadlines to team members.
  • Assisting with appropriate training.
  • Planning workloads and delegating tasks; ensuring paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees.
  • Assisting with the daily operation and any ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ensuring that all team members are familiar with and adhere to the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Completing HR related tasks for the staff under your control as agreed with the Manager.
  • Investigating accidents or incidents and revising risk assessments where necessary.
  • Providing sufficient cover and allocating cleaning tasks during periods of staff absence or holidays, monitoring attendance, communicating any staffing issues immediately to your Soft Services Manager and responding to all requests within a reasonable time frame as required.
  • Ensuring excellence for cleaning operations throughout SJQ.

Person Specification Essential:

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous cleaning experience and leadership skills required.
  • Awareness of importance on Health.
