HGV Class 2 Driver – 18T Curtain Side – Self-Employed ABM Express Ltd is looking for a reliable and professional Self-Employed HGV Class 2 Driver to drive an 18T curtain-side vehicle.
The role involves general haulage, collections and deliveries across the UK.
Nights out will be required depending on the workload and delivery locations.
Pay
- Self-employed position
- The daily rate includes any required nights out
* Weekly payments Main duties
- Driving an 18T curtain-side vehicle safely and professionally
- Completing collections and deliveries across the UK
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Securing loads correctly
- Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining PODs
- Keeping in contact with the transport office regarding deliveries, delays or issues
- Following Drivers’ Hours, Working Time and tachograph regulations
- Reporting vehicle defects promptly
* Taking reasonable care of the vehicle and equipment Requirements
- 5 Years of Full UK Category C / Class 2 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Curtain-side experience preferred
- Good understanding of load securing
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional attitude with customers
- Comfortable with nights out when required As this is a self-employed position, the driver will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
