We are looking for a highly motivated Service and Maintenance Engineer who is ready to contribute to improving the lives of individuals in care establishments.
Location: Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (Overtime available)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
You must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Our client is a leading provider of equipment and services to the UK healthcare sector and presents an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or electrical background who enjoys problem-solving, working independently and delivering exceptional customer service.
Some of the duties of a Service & Maintenance Engineer:
- To undertake the service and maintenance of beds, hoists, pressure care equipment and other daily living aids, predominantly within healthcare establishments.
- To liaise with the service centre for call outs, repairs and emergencies.
- To ensure all parts used are accounted and recorded correctly.
- To always apply exceptional standards of engineering practice when carrying out all aspects of service work and installation projects.
What we look for in a Service & Maintenance Engineer:
- To hold a current, clean, valid driving licence.
- Previous experience in an electrical or mechanical position would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience of PAT or LOLER Testing is an advantage, but full training is provided.
- Basic DIY skills and be physically fit as the role will involve lifting and carrying.
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly and approachable, as you will be dealing with members of the public.
- A good communicator, resilience when needed and have an empathetic nature.
Applicants must either hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
