My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop our multi-discipline engineering team, including the drafting function. In this key role, you will be responsible for resource planning, performance management, and continuously improving their engineering processes and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain robust engineering processes to ensure design integrity at all stages
- Oversee engineering work planning, progress monitoring, and change management
- Act as a technical expert and point of contact for clients, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities
- Coach, mentor, and develop the engineering team to foster a culture of excellence
- Manage project engineering hours and budgets to support sales, projects, and client needs
- Participate in lessons learned reviews and apply continuous improvements
Requirements:
- Degree in an applicable engineering discipline
- Proven experience managing and leading an engineering team
- Detailed knowledge of company products, systems, and relevant industry standards
- Understanding of ISO 9000 requirements as they relate to engineering processes
- Proficiency with engineering design software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MathCAD
