Fantastic opportunity for a dispute resolution lawyer to join this progressive and modern legal practice. Our client is looking for an assistant solicitor to join their dispute resolution team. Working closely with the partner and an established team of associates and assistants, the successful applicant can expect exposure to a broad range of dispute litigation matters.
The role will involve:
- Acting for clients in the resolution of contentious issues, including conducting hearings in the Sheriff Courts and the Court of Session.
- Providing advocacy in tribunals, arbitration, and mediation.
- Taking statements, attending consultations, drafting pleadings, instructing expert witnesses.
- Preparing cases for proofs/debates and working closely with experts.
- Ensuring counsel are instructed accordingly where required.
Applicants will ideally be 1-2 years post-qualified, must have dispute resolution/civil litigation experience, be comfortable dealing with clients, and appearing in court.
