Ably Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major onshore industrial project based in Grangemouth. This role is outside of IR35 with hybrid working on offer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary project team delivering modifications and upgrades within a live operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, review and implementation of electrical distribution systems and site network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical engineering activities across all project phases.
- Review and develop electrical designs for industrial power distribution systems.
- Work on site networks up to 11kV, including substations, transformers, switchgear and cable systems.
- Assess existing electrical infrastructure and develop solutions for network modifications and upgrades.
- Review electrical calculations, single line diagrams, cable schedules and technical specifications.
- Liaise with project engineers, contractors, operations teams and other engineering disciplines.
- Support installation, commissioning and start-up activities where required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant industry standards and site procedures.
Requirements
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience working on industrial site networks up to 11kV.
- Experience within onshore industrial environments such as: Chemical, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Energy, Process Industries.
- Strong understanding of: Electrical distribution systems, HV/LV switchgear, Transformers, Cable systems, Protection systems, Substations.
- Experience working on brownfield projects within operational facilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team.
