Job Description
An established M&E contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to take a lead role in the delivery of a major data centre project West of London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a background delivering large-scale, technically complex M&E projects.
Previous data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential . Candidates from other technically demanding environments such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial, energy, nuclear or major commercial projects will also be considered.
The RoleYou will take responsibility for the mechanical delivery of the project, working closely with the wider project team, client, design teams and specialist subcontractors.
Responsibilities will include: Leading the mechanical package from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and handoverManaging mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliersOverseeing programme, procurement and project deliveryManaging technical submittals, RFIs and design coordinationMonitoring project progress, quality and commercial performanceCoordinating closely with electrical, controls and other MEP disciplinesManaging commissioning, witnessing and handover activitiesChairing and attending project, client and subcontractor meetingsEnsuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required technical standardThe PersonWe are interested in speaking with experienced Mechanical Project Managers / Senior Mechanical Project Managers from an M&E contracting background.
