An established contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of major mission-critical projects across the UK.
This is an opportunity to join a specialist team delivering technically complex, high-value electrical installations for some of the world's leading data centre operators.
The Role
Reporting into the Project Director, you’ll take ownership of the electrical delivery of a large-scale project from construction through to commissioning.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading and developing the site management and engineering teams.
- Managing the electrical package to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinating subcontractors and specialist suppliers throughout the construction process.
- Driving quality standards across installation, testing and commissioning.
- Working closely with the client, consultants and wider project team to resolve technical challenges.
- Managing technical submissions and approvals.
- Supporting project planning, sequencing and programme delivery.
- Chairing subcontractor coordination meetings and producing progress updates.
- Monitoring project performance, reporting key metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Promoting best practice in health, safety and environmental performance across site.
What We're Looking For
We’re keen to speak with experienced Electrical Project Managers who have delivered complex building services projects for either a main contractor or a major M&E contractor.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous experience managing multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services.
- Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance programme, quality and cost.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
Experience delivering data centres, pharmaceutical, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, healthcare or other mission‑critical environments would be highly advantageous.
