As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will take a lead role in the Mechanical Discipline, working closely with senior leadership to contribute to complex projects while managing and inspiring a motivated and talented team.

Your role will focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships, both internally and externally, as client satisfaction and repeat business are integral to our success. You will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of project delivery, ensuring that all objectives are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the communication and management of QA, costings, resources, and delivery of commercial objectives to meet client requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work, and change controls.
  • Provide feedback on departmental performance from both a technical and operational perspective.
  • Organize and lead technical design reviews, acting as a peer auditor for team members’ designs.
  • Manage recruitment, development, retention, and engagement within the Mechanical Services team.
  • Act as a key point of contact for project clients, ensuring a responsive, client-focused service.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary projects within the built environment.
  • Strong track record in managing large, diverse teams, from Apprentices to Principal-level engineers.
  • Experience in contributing to and/or leading bids, proposals, and tender specifications.
