Hours: 9:00 am to 5 pm, 5 days over 6 on a rota basis
Salary: £24250 pa plus generous company bonus, circa £26000pa
Area: Stockton, Darlington and surrounding areas

Ableworld UK, a leading company in the rapidly growing Mobility and Homecare sector, is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Maintenance Support Engineer.

About the role:

The position focuses on gaining expertise in mobility products and equipment. The primary responsibilities include quality checks on various equipment, including mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and powerchairs. Furthermore, the role incorporates undertaking repairs and service items in our in-store workshop and within customers\’ homes. Occasionally, you will also provide cover for deliveries and in-home demonstrations in the local area, when the store driver is unavailable. This is a hands-on role that directly supports customers\’ independence and offers genuine job satisfaction.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Completing checks, repairs, and servicing of products in the workshop and at customer locations
• Accurately recording all work using electronic checklists and the till system
• Liaising with Head Office and customers to resolve repair and service requirements
• Maintaining tools, spares, and equipment in a safe and operational condition
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and well organised

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong interest in repairs & maintenance or previous Engineering-related work history
• Positive customer service skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Basic to competent IT skills – Smartphones & Computer work needed
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong time management skills

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

It\’s important to note that a DBS disclosure will be required for this role, and Ableworld will cover the associated costs.
