Position: Delivery Driver/Demonstrator & Store Support

Hours: 9 am to 5 pm 5 days per week over 6 on a rota basis

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £24100 pa plus generous company bonus

Main Purpose of the Role:

As an esteemed leader in the rapidly growing Mobility and Homecare sector, Ableworld UK is delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver and Store Support.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Delivery Driver to deliver mobility products to customers\’ homes in the Lincoln and Newark areas. The role is unlike any typical delivery driver\’s role, as this role will require you to carry out demonstrations of power chairs, mobility scooters and other mobility equipment ordered by customers, in their homes or Care/Nursing homes; you will also get involved in installations of the equipment and products.

You will sometimes have the support of a Store staff member who will assist with deliveries and loading and unloading of any heavy items where required. Throughout your working day you will be interacting with customers, so we are looking for an individual who has good customer service skills, is highly organised and enjoys working with people of all ages.

When you are not supporting with Deliveries and Demonstrations, you will be supporting our well-established stores in both Lincoln and Newark. You will interact with customers instore, to support them in finding the correct items for the customer\’s needs and supporting the store with any daily tasks.

Duties will include, assisting with:

  • The transfer of stock between stores
  • Delivering products to customers\’ homes and Care/Nursing homes etc
  • Undertaking demonstrations and installations of mobility products
  • Promoting a high level of customer service in a polite and professional way
  • Completing required paperwork and forms (on a phone and inhouse till system) for stores and Head Office
  • Taking payments using a card terminal or cash / cheque handling when necessary

Skills and Experience – you will:

  • Be someone with a mature, responsible outlook on life who enjoys engaging with people of all ages
  • Be energetic and flexible in their approach to work, as this is a varied role
  • Be a confident communicator with an enthusiastic and positive manner
  • Have excellent customer service, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Be confident in using technology (phone and basic pc work) to complete the required customer forms
