Ablebox are looking to recruit a Compliance Manager to look after our 4 key areas of compliance. These areas include Environmental, BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard Issue 6, ISO9001:2015 certification and FSC Chain of Custody certification. The business is also seeking in the medium to long term to gain further accreditations, not currently certified, in areas such as Corporate & Social Responsibility and Environmental.
This will involve:
- Maintaining the established compliance systems ensuring they are always kept up-to-date
- Carrying out regular internal audits and ensuring any non-conformance findings are actioned and opportunities for improvements are implemented quickly
- Managing accreditations through Certification Bodies and associated external audits
- Being the driving force behind maintaining a high level of compliance within the business and demanding excellence from the business and the staff, through excellent leadership and education
- Keeping up-to-date with new legislation and implementing within the business where required
The Candidate:
- Enthusiastic and passionate about compliance
- Previous experience with BRCGS & ISO is essential
- Previous experience within a manufacturing business is essential
- Pro-active department manager, pushing changes and improvements within the department for the benefit of the whole business
- Structured practical thinker with excellent problem solving skills
- HACCP, Internal Auditing and NEBOSH/IOSH training would be beneficial

With over 35 years of successful trading and ambitious growth plans, having invested over £7m in a new production facility in Henstridge and more recently acquired a 3rd site in Sherborne. Ablebox are looking for exceptional people to join our team to contribute to the future success of the business.
Location: The role will be primarily based from one of our offices in Sherborne with the requirement to visit the other sites regularly at Henstridge & Yeovil.
